Founded in 2023, HerStory Foundation was created to address gaps in accessible, trauma-informed support services for women. What began as a small peer support initiative is now evolving into a structured 501(c)(3) organization focused on mentorship, wellness programming, and life-skills development.
The organization is currently in the process of building its program model, including cohort-based workshops, mentorship frameworks, and guided support services centered on emotional wellness and personal development. This development reflects a shift toward a more intentional, outcomes-driven approach designed to support stability and self-sufficiency.
HerStory Foundation is also establishing its leadership structure, program objectives, and outcome measures to guide future impact in areas such as emotional well-being, employment readiness, and independence. The organization continues to build and expand its foundation to support long-term community growth and impact.
Purpose and Identity
HerStory Foundation exists to equip women with the structure, support, and skills needed to achieve stability and long-term self-sufficiency. What sets HerStory apart is its integrated model, combining emotional wellness, leadership development, and practical life support into one coordinated approach that helps women overcome multiple barriers at the same time.
The foundation is guided by three central commitments:
Values-Based Development: Strengthening personal accountability, leadership, character, and direction through mentorship, reflection, and self-development opportunities.
Emotional Well-Being and Resilience: Providing supportive, trauma-informed environments that help women navigate life experiences, build emotional resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.
Practical Empowerment: Equipping women with life skills, employment readiness training, financial literacy, and resources that support long-term stability, independence, and personal success.
